Problem with drivers side of dual heater

Hi....new member of Jaguar Forums here......great site and working on getting used to it.....great interaction between members......I recently purchased 2004 XJ8.....my first Jag and I love it......but......I have this problem.......the drivers side of dual heating system takes a long time to warm up......pass side works great. This includes the drivers side defrost vent, floor vent, and dash vent. All are cold until car has run for awhile. Passenger's side heats up right away on all 3 vents in short order. Any ideas or tips on resolution much appreciated!
Greetings and welcome. There was alot of good information on this subject posted recently by jag_genius and Real_Tech, explaining that the heater cores on your model can become partially plugged and result in the symptoms you are experiencing. Do a little searching here, the discussions were about six-eight weeks ago and should put you on the right path.
useally a stuck closed heater control valve. Ive taken more than a few of these apart, and theres a small opening when the seals are off the seats. And even if they open, it may only be partially.
