New to forum with Certification Question
Hello
I am new to the forum and new to jags. I picked up an 05 XJLWB (40K miles) on saturday and added the certification option to the car which was 'precertified.'
My question is:
What is the sequence of events to document the fact that the car is certified?
Should I expect a mailing from jag with a VIN card describing select certification? Generally, how long does this take? Or was this something the dealer should have sent me away with?
Thanks in advance and kudos on a great forum!

Welcome! The dealer should have provided you with a select edition folder. It actually looks like the folder that the owners manual comes in. They also should have given you a service reciept for anything replaced in the certification process. Also, and I think this may have been an extra from my dealer, they can print out a service history on the car. This will show when the vehicle was serviced by any Jag dealer and what was done. My S Type started life in Michigan, and there it was, all the service performed by the dealer in Michigan. I would go back to the dealer or ask Jaguar directly for the paperwork.
