Hi everyone. Not an owner (yet), but thinking about it. Need to replace my 2000 A6 and liked the look of the XK and very intrigued by the F-Pace. I'm not someone who necessarily needs (or would even appreciate) a great handling sports car, but not opposed to one either. Looking for something well built, smooth comfortable ride, wrapped in a bit of luxury. I like to hang on to the cars I buy, so I buy very infrequently. Not expecting to be able to do any work myself on my next car. I'm down to just oil & filter changes on my Audi. I'm definitely not the kind of person who cares what other people think about what I drive, but nothing wrong with rewarding myself either.

I think my biggest regarding a Jaguar would be my distance (98 miles, 2 hour drive) from the nearest dealer. Best case scenario I'm only going there about once a year for the first 5 years, but that may be way too optimistic. Need to decide whether the advantages of owning a Jaguar (about the only cars I think look good today) outweigh this negative.

Welcome.

Choices, choices, always a choice.

I would simply go for it. The cars today are more service friendly compared to previous versions.

I dont frequent dealers, only independents if really pushed. I see no difference in your area with that approach.

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I'm 750 miles from home and 200 miles from the nearest Jaguar Dealer today and not worried!

Follow Norri's link in post #3 to the XK/XKR and F-Pace forums for help, advice and information.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello,
I hope your search is successful.
I can hardly remember the last time I took my car to a dealer. I was in college, my dad insisted I take it for a compression check.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks for all the welcomes. The thing about going to the dealer is with the Elite Coverage. So I would be going there for the first years for service. Not a big deal I guess. More important things to consider. I look forward to figuring this all out and checking out some cars in person.

Has anyone found out what is the height of the CG for the F-Pace? Any help would be appreciated.
FYI, U.K. F-Pace comes with 3-year, unlimited miles warranty. Why are we blokes in the colonies only getting a 3yr 50,000 mile warranty?
Cheers, AutoAnsGuy

Sam,

You've posted a question in Delfave's Intro thread. To get Views/Replies, your question should have either gone in F-Pace forum or a new Intro thread of your own.
