Proud new owner of 98 XK8 convertible
HI ALL!
I am so happy I just purchased a 98 XK8 with 96K miles! After reading so many negative things about this car, I took it to a Jag specialists (not a dealer) and had the car inspected and to my surprise the car is as good a shape as it is on the outside on the inside (engine, trans, etc,). Ok however the owner of the shop said we will soon know each other on a first name basis and the car is pretty to look at but high to maintain.
I told him it's just a weekend cruiser, I have a Volvo XC90 for daily errands and to tow my waverunner and a Infiniti M45 for business trips. He said as long as it's not a daily driver I should be ok. But I would like to take it on business trips usually like 500 miles round trip once a month.
What do you guys think, would it be ok or leave me stranded on the highway?
