Default SatNav Software Update

Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum and have joined at Jaguar's suggestion because they cannot help me with the information I need!

I’m in the process of bringing my 2012 XF-S up to scratch, with an overhaul of the mechanics, bodywork overhaul and SatNav software, and that's where the problem arises. Nobody seems to be able to tell me how to update the software. My handbook says I should have a DVD software disk but I don’t. It seems I need a USB stick and I can get that on line but how do I load it?My question is, if I place the stick in the USB port, will it upload to the SatNav automatically or do I have to do something else and, if I do have to do something else, what?I hope somebody can help.

David

Welcome to the forum David,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The XF (X250) Navigation System Map update changed from DVD to USB with 2012MY. The only way I'm aware of applying map updates is through Jaguar SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics - the dealer diagnostics software) where Navigation Update Tool is one of the options.

Members with the same model may know differently. Follow this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xf-xfr-x250-44/ to the X250 forum for help, advice and information.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link

Enjoy the forums.
