Default So I've got my new XF...

I had a 3.0 prestige for about 6 years which I have just changed out. I don't travel as much so while I have stayed with diesel, I dropped to a 2.0 R-Sport

First impressions, it looks good. I went for the Caesium Blue, still not seen many around and I get a lot of comments on it. Front and rear passengers have both commented it seems roomier.

I didn't realise it didn't have a CD player, I don't have space on my phone for music and I haven't managed to play from a USB stick (why doesn't it like MP4 files?)

I thought I'd miss the reversing camera but they provided that as part of the deal. I do miss the seat memory position though.

The central console looks good and is intuitive BUT I'm struggling to get used to the sat nav. In particular the map view and countdown to turnings. Apparently it can't count turn offs on a roundabout either. I keep missing the correct one because it thinks the second turning is the third and such like.

I don't like the window switch position. In my old XF it was just there, it was in exactly the right place for your hand. Now I have to stretch and usually open the rear windows first.

My biggest bugbear is one of the most minor. I don't like getting my keys out to open the door. I miss the little button in the handle.

Welcome.

Yep, sometimes the upgrades a less appealing than the old comfortable shoe.

Then we get used to it, and away we go again.

Newer isn't necessarily Better I've learned. That's why I tend to drive the wheels off my cars before I get another one; and when that's necessary I'm *Very* picky!
