The sunroof on my 1999 XJ8, sometimes opens but won't close. The ar sat for sometime before I got it Could it be that some of the switches need to be cleaned or maybe the relays need replacing?

Hi! New to the site, I see that I have to learn to navigate this site to get where I need to be to get the answers/help requested. Thanks for the info.
Now for my intro; Live in the Phila, PA area. I am self employed, in the Telecommunications trade. This is not my first XJ. This one is Black with Black leather, 1999 model year. I enjoy tinkering, my hobbies are gardening and fishing
