Welcome to the forum gocartmotzart,
Neither the ASC (Stability Control) nor the TRAC (Traction Control) would prevent an engine start. Your first move should be to have the DTC codes read.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x308-xj8-xjr-27/ to the X308 section for help and advice with your XJR.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Please also visit the Western US Region section Western US - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum for other members in your region.
Hope you get the XJR up and running soon. Enjoy the forum.
