Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Luggage compartment lock and light issues can often be due to a a break in the harness where it is fastened to the hinge. Members with the same model will be able to offer more advice.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
I had to Google Penetanguishene to find out about the "land of the white rolling sands". You can visit the Canada Region forum by following this link Canada - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
