Default Trying to find my Dad's car...

Dearest Jaguar Forum, I'm on a quest to try and find my Dad's old XKE roadster in hopes of bringing it back into the family. I have only two documents giving me any information about it and one picture.

Things I know;

It's a bronze'ish colored '66 roadster
My Dad sold it in Thousand Oaks, California around 1980 with around 53000 miles.
Was plated as BADKAT
Has a VIN of 1E12231Z.

If anyone has this car or finds it lying around I'd be forever grateful for the info. Thanks!

Welcome,

JDHT (Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust) will be able to provide the original spec, including engine number, exact colour and trim details which may help in your search.

Good luck - hope you find it.

Graham

Welcome to the Jag Forums. Try starting with the Calif. DMV. Don't know if they can help, but it may be worth a try.
Good luck

Welcome......Cool thing to do to help your Dad.

FYI, the "Z" at the end of the vin is not a valid character. Check this site for valid vin info.

XKE Data - Resources - Jaguar E-Type (XKE) information, articles, photos and register

I searched the vin 1E12231 and was not found in their database. You can register at that site and enter the vin and explanation about trying to locate it.

Hope you find it!

Thanks for the help, my Dad passed away four years ago so this is more of a personal quest for me. One of these days I'll find it!
