Hi everyone

New to the forum and need advice please.

Jag dealer advised I need a Tube T piece part AJ811188 as Engine Orange warning light is activated while driving but otherwise car drives o/k. - Dealer say's this tube is part of the air delivery syetem and is attached to an Aluminium part which is missing from my 2006 XKR. However they can't supply the tube T piece without the alu part which cost approx £800.00

Pervious owner had a new engine under warrant at 5,000 miles so maybe this alu part was missed out and the tube T piece somehow connected without the Alu part?

Does anyone have any idea what this T piece and alu part is and what they do as perhaps somehow I can avoid a costly repair maybe by sourcing myself?

Hi everyone

Thank you for the welcome....

Now understand what the T Piece is i/e Alu air intake pipe for fuel mix. Also cleared the issue of the missing alu bit - Basically let's say info supplied by the dealer was "lost in translation" (my German skills are good but not that good.

In the end I still need to find this Tube T Piece item AJ811188 as quoted 1,000€ (plus labour) by the dealer so looking for an alternative supply source and maybe DIY ??

At the equivalent of 553€ it could be worth an enquiry and importing.
