unfortunate new owner of an xk8
hey,
bought a 99 xk8 from an impound yard sight unseen (aside from photo's) which showed some body damage...no big deal. but when it arrived, and i popped the hood...the engine was blown/dismantled. apparently it was to difficult for the a-holes at the impound yard to mention that.
so....now i don't know whether i'll repair this motor (don't know that it's possible), replace it (what long blocks are interchangeable? 97-01?), swap in a 350 (but just the kit to do that is $1500 without the donor car), or part it out... havent decided on my actions yet.
