New member with a 2001 XKR convertible to sell. But classifieds say I can't post. What gives?

When I read your Intro I had a suspicion you may only have registered to sell the XKR but gave you the benefit of the doubt.

Your second post today shows my thoughts were correct.

Classifieds (MARKETPLACE) is offered as a service to members. It is not an alternative to sales sites such as Craigslist. To prevent abuse of MARKETPLACE there is a minimum period of membership required and a minimum post count. Anyone contriving to build a post count simply to circumvent this rule is banned. If you had read the guidance to new members you would have known this.

Graham

Hmmm...seems a bit unreasonable. Even if people are only trying to sell their cars, isn't part of a forum like this connecting uncommon cars with the uncommon people that want them? Second, I was just about to post my somewhat humorous seat tilt fix. Your call, but I don't see any benefit in not allowing folks to sell uncommon stuff to the people who want it most.
