X type 2.0D viewing
Hi all
just registered and looking for advice
I viewed an x type 2.0D this week
was aware of clutch issues with this model
car was immaculate 120k fsh with jag, asking price 3,500
however there was a slight noise from the lower belt side of the engine bay at tick over
the noise was not really noticable from inside the car
and seemed to go once 1,500/2000 rpm was reached
also when clutch pedel was depressed ?
would this point to a clutch related problem
or any other problem ?
didnt purchase car was this a mistake or wise decsion ?
many thanks

Welcome to the forum oldfudger,
If in doubt, walk away is easy to say but often difficult to do when you really want the car.
Follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type section for help, advice and information. I recommend you ask the question there but include the Model Year as this could well influence the response.
You can also visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.
Hope it's still available if the advice is not to worry. Enjoy the forum.
