X type 2001 october with 48000miles

Gearbox fault comes on display with warning light. Switched off engine and restarted .no warning light or message !
Any Ideas????????????

Has your tranny been acting up lately??? If so, then there's your culprit.

You more than likely have a vacuum leak...
Check your Brake boost VACUUM LINE AND CHECK VALVE, CHECK ALL THE VACUUM LINES AND THERE IS A COUPLE OFO RINGS IN THE THROTTLE CONTROL VALVES that leak..Picture below
