I'm jumping in with both feet, as I just won this beauty on the 'Bay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-Jaguar-XJ-/184390239925
I intend to have it shipped directly to a local Jag specialist shop to make sure it's ready for the road. However, since I live in an urban area, I don't drive much and having a fussy older car shouldn't be an inconvenience.
The entirety of my car ownership history can be listed on one hand, IN UNARY:
'85 Volvo 760 Turbo
'88 Porsche 944
'85 F-150 with 3-on-the-tree
'99 Miata for the past 14 years
'95 XJ12, real soon now

I hope so. I Googled the VIN and found some... less flattering photos of her. Whatever's going on with the sunroof clearcoat, if not the whole roof, must have been addressed since it was acquired by the selling party in Arizona.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

I am happy to report that the right edge of the sunroof panel is in good nick, as is pretty much the entirety of the body and paint.
Oregon is covered in wildfire smoke at the moment, so everything has a bronze tint.
Though not advertised in the sale, it came with original books and a 5th alloy wheel (with a flat tire, boo). I neglected to photograph the spare.
The not nice, as far as known:
Exhaust leak
Throttle linkage bushings missing
Radiator bushings perished, of course
Little coolant crossover pipe loose and rubbing on top of radiator
Driver side headlight cluster mounting lug broken
Shifter garnish/surround loose
Most if not all veneers have cracks in the lacquer
The V12 cars are supposed to have a toolset in the underhood bin, right?
Scanty new car smell...
One missing plastic fastener in rear seat center armrest cubby lid lining.. the horror
Have yet to peer too far underneath, but the shocks look new. Black bodies with silver stickers, could they be Billies?
