XJS Convertible - newbie
Hey folks - happy to introduce myself. I'm a 47 year old Creative Director/Photographer - divorced after 21 years of marriage - 2 boys 14/16 and to put it mildly - having a couple of years of transition! Part of this has been a part-time move from MA to Miami (winters are sooo nice) and in the course of that I needed some wheels down here in FL - and lo and behold I now have a long mileage black XJS 1996 convertible, 6cyl.
I have an Audi A4 quattro back in MA which is a great, reliable car and good in the snow - the Jag, in a sense, is the contradiction to that car and everything it represents.... but so far it has been great. I bought it for very little off ebay - just put some new shocks in the front and looking to replace the wheels that the previous owner blew $$$ on trying to look like some kind of gang-banger.
I have a long background around English sports cars - growing up my dad had a 1931 jag roadster - beautiful - and we had a number of Aston Martins - but this is the first "antique" of my own (at 1996 hardly antique but amazing how fast time goes by)....
Anyway - I have the inevitable questions about my car and hoping to connect with some like-minded enthusiasts!
