XK8 in Seattle

HI all! I own a 97 XK8 coupe, black on black. I have owned it since 2000 and it has been an excellent car; beautiful to look at and to drive. I am nearing 80k and I have found this forum invaluable as maintenance issues arise.

Welcome to the forum,

Long ownership - that's almost like a one owner vehicle.

Sounds like you've had no serious issues until the Cats you've posted about on XK8/XKR section. Hope this one is easily fixed.

Graham, I purchased the car with 17k on it in 2000, literally owned by a little old lady in Santa Cruz Ca. A real cream puff. I did have the timing chain tensioners replaced about 3 years ago, other than that, the car has been trouble free. Thanks for your comments on the cat issue.
