Default XKR Side Molding Removal

My inquiry was to learn how side moldings are attached on an XKR, and I believe it was revealed in an earlier thread, as glued on with double sided tape. My reason for knowing is so I can remove them and have a cleaner look to the side of my car, like I see on later cars. They have always looked like an after thought to me, and the protection factor is like bringing a bb gun to the OK corral.

Welcome to the forum JagMan150S3.8,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The side mouldings are fixed with double sided tape and the good news is the body is painted before they are applied so no remedial paint required if you remove them carefully.

Follow Steve's link in post #3 to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
