Default Yep. I'm new here.

Hey all,

Been lurking around the site for a few days, figured I'd say hello. Have $$ down on a XF and will test drive one this Thursday.
Already own a Jag 1964 E Type I (currently needs some minor engine work).

Welcome, and congrats on both rides. The E-type has been my favorite car sice I could count to 4 wheels!

Thanks for the welcomes. Bit the bullet today. Originally had $$ on a XF premium lux fairly loaded. After doing the math, it's only going to be about $3,500 more to buy the supercharged that has almost everything standard. The dealer didn't have any supercharged models in stock, so I may have to wait 'til the end of April (which is fine because I have to make room in the garage). My main concern was the legroom because I have a 34" inseam and find it rare to find a vehicle that I can fully extend my legs. I was surprised that even after adjusting the seat that there was still room to go back! The XF seemed huge on the inside. From the moment I sat in the vehicle, I could feel the smile instantly appear on my face. Took it for a drive on the expressway and then took an off-ramp, then an on-ramp back to the expressway so I got to see how it handled through the turns. The XF drove like a dream. Also, pictures don't do it justice. I wasn't impressed with the hood (bonnet) in the brochure, but in person the lines aren't as exaggerated. I'm sold! Now I have to find something to occupy my time to help it go by faster.

Look forward to chatting with you all in the future!

Tommie
