Right, my friend is looking for his first car. His budget is 4-5,000, and wants a car that is a convertible and a manual. It needs to be a reliable daily driver capable of driving a distance from Florida to Idaho. I've racked my brain with this one, it was going to be a simple Miata/Mx-5, but that went out of the question, so now I don't know what to recommend.

 

I hate to say mustang, but, "mustang." They are cheap, reliable, and very easy to maintain
