Unhappy dubai jag mechanics

Hello Guys,
I have a 95 v12 xj, I live in Abu Dhabi & there are no Jag mechanics here who can repair my car. Are there any Jag lovers out there in my area, Dubai, UAE who can recommend a good Jag mechanic. Not the main agent as they only look at new models.
Thanks Jag owners.
Regards, Harry

Harry,

I've moved your question from Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Centre section to the Other Areas Regional section where other members in Dubai may be able to help.

Have left a temporary link to here in the Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Centre so you'll get double the chance of help!

Graham

Hi,
I have a 05 S Type and was first owned by a German who was getting it serviced and maintained from 4XMotors in Al Quoz.
The car had been kept in pristine condition, so, maybe the mechs at 4xMotors are good. Also heard of a GT Auto Centre also in Al Quoz.

I've just had some minor work done on my XK by GT Auto Centre – Dubai – Car Servicing, Repairs, Tires, Brakes, Diagnostic, Detailing and was impressed with their set-up. They say they do a lot of Jag work, and have Jaguar-trained techs.

Hi everyone,

Just read through the posts. I contacted GT Auto to know about their rates and they are quite expensive. They charge AED900 for just regular maintenance and oil change. A part replacement would be definitely higher. Is there a cheaper place that anyone can suggest?

I used KEM (or something) in Al Quoz, its also around 800AED, but they do other stuff too.. for example, fixing the airconditioning issue (leaking) they only charged 700AED for dropping the gearbox and clearing the airco exhaust..

I use GT Auto as well for both my Jag and my Mercedes. They aren't the cheapest but stand behind their work and don't screw about with your ride. Get your parts imported from www.britishparts.co.uk - even with DHL they are far cheaper than locally obtained

Anyone who needs gearbox repairs, let me know. I found one and got my Jag gearbox repaired. Al Tayer had estimated the repairs at 40k, I got it done in 13K odd. Hope this helps all.
