I spoke with a Jaguar dealer in Toronto and learned the C-X16 will be displayed at the Toronto Auto Show later this month and that it's expected to be in production and for sale late fall this year. He expected details and pricing to be announced before the show. He thought it was going to be turbo-charged, and around 260 hp which is different from other details I had seen previously. Anyone have any more recent info, and anyone else considering purchasing one?

I almost never go to the auto shows but I'm counting the days now. A friend put down a deposit last week on the NSX that won't be available for 3 years, the Lexus LF-LE looks cool also...but neither grab me like the C-X16. It is just stunning from every angle.

While I couldn't make it to the show as planned, a friend was very impressed with it and took these photos... http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...%20Feb%202012/
The dealer told me the decison to build or not is expected to be made mid-March, so we shall see!

This is the kind of Jaaag I have been waiting (and saving) for.
My one big concern is that the design will get watered down. I don't think it can afford to be. To me, this is production ready exterior-wise. Interior, I can understand that they'll have to simplify it.
I'll never forget my disappointment when I saw the production XF compared to the CX-F. At least that has now been remedied with the '12 model though.

Noooooo! I'm too young to drive a convertible.
I was 20 and single when I bought my XKE convertible and it was an awesome car for a young guy. Ladies loved it, guys envied it, and the first girl I took out for a ride in it I ended up marrying. 35 years later when deciding between coupe or convertible XKR she didn't even have to think about it...get the convertible!
