Default Jaguar Kougar

Does anyone have any knowledge / Experience with these? I believe they were build on an jag mk2 chassis...Anyways rebuilding the calipers for a friend which should be an adventurous task given the inboard brakes.

Never heard of them. Interesting though! The wheels look a tad large for the car, but pretty cool overall.

I think that Kougar might still be in operation:
Home of the Kougar Classic Car Range - Kougar Sports - Kougar Monza - kouger-cars.com

In any case, the Kougar was not built on any Jaguar chassis - in the classic Brit kit car idiom, a purpose-built tube frame formed the Kougar's chassis. Then a defunct Jaguar saloon was used as the donor for the Kougar's mechanical bits - Mk 2 and S-Types (the classic one) were used as typical donors. Even a couple with a V12. In your case, since you have the in-board disk brakes, it sounds like your car is based on the 3.4 (more likely than the 3.8) S-Type. In that case, it must have the IRS rather than the Mk 2's solid axle rear end. So it is all just standard S-Type brake parts, not hard to find. Then just drop out the IRS as a unit for ease of access to all the bits.

Default Kougar front brakes

Hi, most Kougar front brakes were from 'S' types, mine are from a 1967 S type! Very effective!
