The new Jaguar, lol
If they put the effort into the lineup and got away from this suv craze the whole world is on, they may get better mileage.
I wouldn’t mind a modern, full size, too much horsepower, all the suspension for a winding road or through the city sedan… that doesn’t look like every other plasticized, pregnant hunk of junk out there… and keep the garbage “tesla” style display and full dash width display (as in the new Mercedes)…. or on second thoughts, maybe just a new logo on the junk that’s coming out now, lol.

Here is more on the new logo and a pic of the redesigned leaper.

Regardless of any Logo, I'll not buy a new Jaguar since the starting prices will all be well above $150,000, and the new "GT" car (Really? A FOUR door??) supposedly will start at $300,000.
Nope for me.
Nope for me.
Whoever is in charge of this at Jaguar: Please . Just . Stop.

IMHO this is worse than I could have ever imagined. True, the products are yet to come, but this "approach" is just bizarre and doesn't bode well. Ineffective advertising doesn't sway you to buy the product. Terrible advertising makes you run away from the product. This "ad" (not to mention the font) is screaming at me to run away and never look back. So sad.
That makes me almost vomit into my own mouth.
On a tangent, I do believe that 95% of the entire world does NOT know what WOKE actually means. It's nothing to do with counter-culture, LGBTWKDYUFDJ, or any other behavior... it's merely "aware of the actual past".

Back in the nineties when Porsche announced that it would be coming out with a SUV, the faithful went absolutely berserk! Who would have thought that such a "heretical" strategy would propel the company into a successful run that continues to this day?
One thing's for sure...there are not very many of us out there who truly appreciate what these cars are about, so completely redefining the brand is perhaps the way to go. At least we had the opportunity to experience the end of a true classic automobile brand.
All things come and go...

Please don’t let the ad designers anywhere near the vehicle designers. I know there’s a lot of garbage in the ocean, but I think the world would be better if ads like this were immediately sunk to the bottom of the nearest ocean.
sorry to have to agree. After 3 jaguars, and disappointment on the e- trajectory, and loss of the F type , it may be a race to the bottom along with the E macan. I've owned 2 porsches. Keeping my "old" ice vehicles and enjoying them immensely.
I'm glad someone said something about the jaGuar it's infuriating 😂
I'm going to say the quite part out loud. They don't care they aren't popular with the "masses", even with the slim majority. They want to be niche and that means making way fewer units and selling them for higher cost. If there is one thing I know there are just enough rich morons to keep something like that afloat for at least a little while. I don't like it, but I think it's the sad reality.

The fact that this was said is kind of mind blowing "Glover expects only 10 to 15 percent of Jaguar’s existing customer base will stay with the brand over the coming years" so it's like they purposely want to leave behind the people that currently own them and like the history of Jaguar

Well, I guess it can't be said they don't understand what they are getting into (which isn't the same as knowing what they are doing 😂 ). I guess when they raise the average price by 110%, they only need to sell half. I'd say initial hype might get them through a couple of years at least. People buy stupid crap all the time. Even see that dumb#$$ Trump singing Alfi's or whatever the heck that is. This isn't even a political statement at all, just that people buy enough crap like that, probably one of the dumbest novelties I've ever seen, for it to be lucrative. If it were me, I'd have somehow figured out how to sell, split off, whatever "Classic Jaguar" and expanded on this jaGuar bullcrap. Well, if it were me, I'd have not even done thee latter, but that is beside the point.
From the pictures, you'd have to figure the new Jag's are going to be plug ugly. (Although I'm sure they won't be, even without Ian.)
I get Elon's point, but isn't he the master of announcing products that don't exist (yet). How long was the wait for the Model 3 and the Cybertruck? (And, the model 3 only hit the target entry price when you sold it after taking the depreciation hit.) And, when that self-driving car going to arrive? (The one that doesn't drive into airplanes and poles.)

It's weird, trying to go for an avant-garde angle. The teaser clip feels like it's trying to steer the brand to be a bit more youthful. Youthful with money.
The Haute Coture vibe of the entire thing is trying to place them in like a segment of people who have lots of $$$ and want to stand out. Same demo who would enjoy buying ex-runway clothing and eating very small, very expensive dishes at a Michelin restaurant.
In some ways, being an adman myself, I get WHY they've done it. Bet you this is exactly what the brand manager briefed. But I still don't like it. Really does feel like a desperate pivot for Jag.
