I can see this XJS - Lynx Eventer in your album but not an S-Type Estate?

In my day the XJS was called the S type as the XKE was called the E type, but then Ford stuck the name on a Mondeo and now you call that an S type. So yep thats the S type estate I saw, also called a Lynx Evetner.

Sorry Julie the mists of time have clouded the memory, the XJS was never an S Type.

The original S Type was a variation of the MKII

The E-type was marketed as an XKE here in the colonies. Same car. As Norri mentioned, the XJS and the original incarnation of the S-type were very very different cars. Likewise, the modern S-type and Mondeo have nothing in common.

The Lynx Eventer was an aftermarket conversion only, not factory. I think they made 65-70(?) of them.
