Default Beautiful Iceland (Jaguars included)

I've been browsing threads in this forum today and seeing lots of great shots of beautiful cars in amazing settings.

Decided to show you something you ought to see for yourself one day. Travelling in Iceland is easy and very rewarding.

Here are the pics:

1. and 2. Mk VII M in Grundarfjordur. If you see the pinkinsh sheen, that's a pearelescent white over gold. I spoke with the owner, a lovely woman who was working in a little bakery where the car was parked.

3. Reykjavik. I forget this chap's name. He was posing, despite his apparent scowl. We spoke for half an hour about his Jags, which he imported himself.

4. The Icelander Halldor Laxnes won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1955. This is a shot of his last car outside his home (now a museum).

5. Roads like this are not uncommon in Iceland, and I witnessed them being enjoyed most by motorcyclists.

I agree completely with this assessment on the Mk VII M. Timeless style and beauty when elegance was a greater driver of design then mpg. The owner should be congratulated for having kept this vehicle in such immaculate condition.
