Usual questions for this generation of XK8:
-Have the timing chain tensioners been replaced?
-Has the transmission been serviced regularly and recently?
-Was the engine ever replaced due to Nikasil?

 

I've owned it for two years and I don't know the history before that and have only put about 4000 miles on it. Since I've owned it none of those things have been done. Plus I'm not familiar with the need to change the engine since it runs wonderfully.
