The transmission on my 98 XJR gave up a couple of weeks ago. If anyone has one in good working order, I would be interested in acquiring it. I understand a rebuild is a costly endeavor.

Will check these out. In my earlier search, I found one in Seattle but it was a high mileage unit. The others were in Florida, so kind of a long haul to Western Canada. With luck, one of these may fit the bill. Thanks for your time.

I have a 98 XJR which probably needs a transmission rebuild, it is making funny noises especially in second gear. I am also in Calgary. Did you have any luck finding a used transmission. Also wondering if you would have any info on getting it rebuilt locally. Any thoughts you might have would be appreciated. Not sure what to do with car, it has 143000 km on it. I have put a lot of money into it over the last couple of years, most everything else is fixed, but not driveable now, either fix it or sell it as is.
