Voice Module and Bluetooth Kit for sale.

Voice Module and Bluetooth Kit for sale.
Purchased new from prominent USA Jaguar dealership:
The two modules that are required for 'Bluetooth", one is actually an aeriel that picks up the phone, also the
Voice module upgrade option as well (for 'Jaguar Voice').
Also have microphone that is needed as well.
All parts purchased new by me and are unused (other than when I tried to get the thing to work).
In the end I could not use any item as to my amazement my STR is too old to take the modern bluetooth modules and strangely is one of the rare cars that is not prewired for voice.
These units plug straight in to the cars' system.
The mic needs to be mounted as well as plugged in.
Were purchased to 'option up' my S Type but should fit XJ and S Types as well.
Not suitable for the earlier cars, more intended for later models.
small bluetooth module $135
larger bluetooth module $280
Voice Module $400
Microphone $50
Total: $865 (plus whatever postage is)
Cost me new $1750!

Yes it is still for sale.
The installation of all the modules would be considered novice level, as they just plug straight in. You need find the loose plugs and unbolt a few items in the trunk. The overhead microphone requires a bit more skill but that too is very straight forward. The hard part there is delicately removing the light assembly, the microphone just plugs straight in to that and is attached to the lining.
I would be sure that the dealers would easily find 2-3 hours work in all that!
I am not sure what the USA rate is but here in Australia it's about $165 per hour.
Best to takle it on your own, or go to a competent electrician.

How can I find out if this is the correct part for a 2005 VDP and if it will support newer phones. I see the older ones are very limited as to which phones are supported.

Hi Brian,
I do still have it, including the Jaguar handbook which forms part of the owners manual/car books.
Sadly my STR is not prewired for it! Being an early pre-production model. Of course I found this out the expensive way and bought it brand new.
Happy to drop it to $300US if you are interested.
