*** 01 S-TYPE 3.0 weird start up***
hey guys this is my first post to this site i just bought my first jag but im having some what of a problem thats more of a nuisance than anything so here it is
i have an american 01 jag s type with the 3.0L engine 110k miles and heres the problem
basically when i start the car in the morning for the first few min it seems to miss fire the rpms drop to around 600-800 and when i push on the gas it seems to hesitate a bit its exactly like i was running out of gas but then after a second it will respond to the throttle and speed up only to repeat the same throttle response when i stop again it will do this for about id say 5-10 min then be completely fine for the rest of the day and wont happen till i make the first drive of the day the next day
i live in California so the coldest it ever gets it like 68 in the winter and my car is garaged every day so id assume that the outside temp and moisture are not factors here
it did have a check engine light for a while but all were for random miss fires
some other info on the car that might help. when on the free way and i floor it i get a burnt oil smell that resonates with in the car, i have a rattle coming from the cat that sounds like a bolt rattling on top of a thin metal plate that goes away when rpm's are above 1200, apparently the spark plugs were replaced before i bought the car but the guy could of lied the car had a check engine light for an 02 sensor but went away after a few days ive checked all hoses leading into the intake manifold and non had holes or leaks
heres what i think bad coil bad maf faulty injector bad intake man. gasket
any opinion would be appreciated thanks guys
