hey guys, got a guy here in south florida that customizes car interior said that he can make me a fiberglass console for my jag. We all know how easily these consoles break. Mine is not really broken as of yet, has a broken tab in the inside, but you can not see it and it still stays intact, but if it does go I will def give the guy a call. He charges about 150-200 to do it is what he told me. He needs the console so he can make a molding of it. If anyone lives in South florida lmk and I will give you his number.

 

Where do they break?

 

the tabs in the fronts, they crack from the sides, and you can never really remove them without them cracking somehwere.

 

Which console are you talking about, the one that houses the radio/nav or the one that houses the j gate

I've not heard that being a common problem, in the UK you can buy a complete interior for that price

 

the j-gate console, the lower console that always cracks.

 

I am a member of several jag forums along with other motoring forums and have never come across this as a common problem, where are you getting your info?

 

I think it would be much cheaper to just get a used one from EBay?

Not any reports of broken consoles so maybe yours is just one of those things?

Mine was well and truly smashed up when I bought the car. I got a used one from ebay.

 

I do look on ebay but they are not easy to come by. I see them once in a blue, but rarely.
