I purchased a set of front seats for my S-Type donated from a low mileage S Type at a price I couldn't refuse - (I have mine up for sale on the forum - they are in good shape) - To my surprise while installing them this morning I noticed they are heated seats.

Can I expect the heated seat connectors to be wrapped up in the HVAC harness? I checked the fuse in the trunk for the heated seats and it is there, fuse and all.

Hopefully, it will be as simple as purchasing the heated seat switches, pulling off the cover panel below the HVAC unit, find the plugs, connect them in and off to the races...

Any responses would be appreciated.

 

Er... I'm not by any means sure they're connected that way - but check the Electrical Guide

I know the heated seats are not in any way related to the HVAC system.

I checked the electrical guide and I do show the connectors should reside somewhere behind the HVAC unit beneath the dashboard.

I installed a 6 CD changer in the glove box recently and the wire to connect it was in the harness - it's worth a shot...

I believe Ford had the harness with connectors installed and if the customer paid for the option, they simply connected them up. Hopefully, I will find those connectors and score like I did with getting the factory 6 CD player installed, thanks.

I pulled out the HVAC/Radio assembly and the purple and white connectors for the heated seats were tucked away in the harness - I tested them and they had power. I also noticed the navigation harness was tucked away as well...
