'03 S-Type stereo Where is the sub? what size is it?

I just bought an '03 S-Type R and have a nasty vibration in the stereo system. Sub is either blown or loose. I went back to find the sub and all I found were either 2-6.5" or 8" speakers mounted in the back (where 6x9's usually are found) Are these the "subs" the manual refers to? Are the 8" or 6.5" ? If these are not the "sub" that the book refers to, where the heck is it?

On my 05 they are center, in front of the third brake light. If you are looking through you're rear view, and have it blasting, you can see the fabric move/vibrate
