03 STR needs a torque converter
The fluctuation of RPM's that dissapear after warm-up (while driving) are likely the result of a worn torque converter. Put in a parts request to Nalleys Jaguar. Appreciate guidance as to where to procure a new torque converter. Best wishes to all for a happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Mike. Nalley Jag got back to me. They want $1750 for a new torque converter. I mentioned I'm a member of The forum....$1750? They can eat my shorts! For free. I found a rebuilt for $475.
when i had mine done, there was a replacement part number for it, and it had to come from europe. Thats why it took them 3 weeks to do mine.

Hey guys, I'm reading this thread but not quite sure what's going on. Can someone break down and explain to me exactly what " fluctuation of RPM's that dissapear after warm-up" means? Is it a loss in power or RPM's that go down or some combination of the two??
looks like my TC is gonna need replacing soon, but i haven't done the trans filter and fluid change yet, also i might need the tcm reflashed, but im differently getting those type of surges, cars just hit on 90000 miles and im not sure if the last owner done the trans and fluid yet got the car at 74000.. but i got the mercon sp and filter ready to be threw on..
