Default 04 S-Type

I have an 04 S-Type, I just bought it about a month ago, and when it is cold out(which hasn't been often because i live in FL)and I start the car it idles rough and shaky, sometime the check engine light comes on and I will get a restricted performance message. After the car heats up the message goes off and eventually the check engine light goes out and the idle smooths out. I've been getting misfire codes, lean codes, and evap system codes. From what I've seen on here the IMT O-rings can go bad and sometimes cause this but is this possible without them leaking oil? Sorry for the long post, any input will be greatly appreciated.

I take it you have the 3.0?

Yes if the top IMT O-ring is failing you will not have any oil drips and it would cause the vehicle to run rough. Here is a how To to replace them:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ics-faq-32135/

Also it would be best to run to a local big box auto parts place and have the codes read for free. Then post back.

Also please go to "UserCP" and "edit signature" and put your vehicle details in ie...year, model, engine.

Yeah I just added to my garage. Yes it is a 3.0. I had the codes read today I can't remember them all, there were nine of them. p1313, p1316, misfire on 1, 3, and 5. Also bank 1 lean. Thank you for the reply

Start with the IMT O-rings since you are unable to remember all the codes. You have a vacuum leak.

BTW adding a garage does not help us help you! Please use the "UserCP" as I stated in post #2.

Yeah I was figuring it was a vacuum leak. I found out about the O-rings from this forum site. Appreciate the help.
