Default 05 s-type v-8 computer runs

Seems like computer runs all the time. Can hear it when engine on, and when I turn off engine, can hear it, often for several minutes. Any ideas?

There are lots of them, all silent, so see if you can figure out what it actually is.

My guess is a fan but you need to localise the sound to know which one.

Default Computer Running

Sound is not a fan. It's an intermittent clicking, muted some, exactly like my desktop computer when it's reading a disc, updating, etc.

Could be a door actuator in the climate control system. If something blocks a door from travelling fully, the actuator may keep cycling over and over.

Try switching off the climate control system and see if that stops the noise. This may not be a conclusive test, though. Even when the system is switched off, the controller may still try to park the doors in their default positions.

You could play with the manual buttons at the bottom of the control panel. By manually selecting a particular door to one end of travel, the controller should stop trying to drive it to the troublesome position.

If still no joy, pull fuses F14 and F20 in the primary junction box. This will remove power from the actuators.

kr98664 -- you diagnosis was spot on. Changed Mode for ventilation system and noise disappeared. Haven't driven much in last week but have tried several Vent Modes, including the one I generally use (floor and dash), and apparently the doors are no longer stuck as system doesn't continue trying to do anything.

Much thanks. This was another positive result for me via the Forum.
