Default 08+ XKR steering wheel in an S-Type?

Anyone have any clue if this will work with the airbag system? Don't really care about the steering wheel controls. I know Jag uses so many of the same components in all of the newer cars like sunroof switches etc, so was hoping we could swap out for the more modern wheel instead of this ugly fat one we have now. I know Bentley guys do that all the time with their 05's...only crappy thing is those wheels are 2000 bucks.

I think the airbag is the least of your problems....

If I was going to undertake this, the questions would be;

Is the spline the same?
Is the depth of the wheel the same (plastic shroud on the back)

Airbag is just 4 wires, I don't think the electronics car which particular airbag is fitted, they are all activated more/less the same way.

Steering wheel switches would be a matter of splicing wires.

It all comes down to the physical fitment at the spline, and the dimensions of the wheel.

I put an STR wheel in my XJR, was basically a straight swap, but I have no idea about the later models; XK & XF (which I think have the same wheel)
