Default 2000 jaguar s-type 4.0 cranks but won't start

The car was driving fine but had been sitting for a while a few times the past months, I had just drove the car 40+ miles parked it for 5 minutes and drove it again no more than 4 miles when car lost power after a U turn
I have not check much since this did just happen last night...tank is 1/2 - 3/4 full, pressure at fuel valve (spray)not sure of psi , tried starting in park and neutral did not fire up much only a little sputtered and had car tow home. Any suggestions on fixing would be greatly appreciated.

Try some starting fluid and let us know what it does.

Sounds like you lost something major electrical?

Do you have lights? Anything electrical acting odd?

Possible fuel pump failure. (electrical or fuel pressure)

Check: inertia switch

Fuel pump fuse and relay.

Fuel pressure at rail before start up - should be at least 40 psi.

Hope this helps.
