Good afternoon fellow jaguar drivers and enthusiasts. As you well may know for most of us we are in the winter months in most regions and it is cold. So to get to the point last night as I got done gassing up my baby, I put the gas cap on and was closing the lid when, I went to do this I pushed it shut a little to hard heard a small crack and now the kid won't shut. Has any other s type drivers had this problem and how would I go about fixing it as well as repair estimates. Thx and happy holidays!!!

 

Hi, Order part number XR818050 from one of our forum sponsors like SNG Barrett. Old part pops out w/ a small flat head screw driver and just slide the replacement in (when mine went last year I keep a spare available)

Estimated repair costs - the part, 5 minutes of your time and a beer for a job well done!!

Don't try and glue it if you have the broken part - won't work I attached a few pics.

Thanks for the info and haha yes I tried gluing the piece back on and it didn't work. Another quick question are you sure that serial number will work for my make and model jaguar as well?
