Recently had left tail light failure. Could not get a new RECM & was told that the RECM was in cascading failure, an eventual total failure. Jag Tech jumped the power to the rt tail light to a relay to power the lt tail light. Worked for a while.
Now both lamps are dim & cannot drive nights. Purchased a used RECM & wondered if it needs checking out first, is it 'plug & play', or the system needs reprogramming after installation. I was careful to obtain the correct part since I was told it is VIN specific. Any help would be appreciated.
