I have been reading through several threads here about S type AC / heater problems. I did not have heat or AC, but have replaced the DCCV and that sorted the heating problem, and I have also filled up the AC, and i t seems to hold the pressure. Based on recommendations from various threads, I have also checked and cleaned all temperature sensors except the one on top of the dashboard, and all actuators in the heater are operating. Where do I go from here? Any recommendations.

 

Is the ac compressor clutch engaging?

You have heat but no ac right?

 

I was under the car with a R134 refill bottle, and it did engage when I pushed the trigger on the bottle, and the bottle got colder, but it seemed as if it was not engaged before that.

 

All AC and heater problems are now sorted. Had a small leak in an insulated pipe, in a very hidden place. Changed the pipe and filled up withnew gas and everything is OK.

 

Good news. I think that was a problem on the early cars.
