Can some one tell me if the front and back brake pads on a 2000 S Type are the same or a bit different. I have had two places tell me different things. One says that they are the same pad, the other says that they are different and only fit on the front or back but are not interchangeable. Your advice appreciated.

 

They're not even vaguely similar never mind close or the same. Not interchangeable at all.

 

When you go to get them just go to a place that knows and they will show both to you. In a thread I posted a pic of the tool you can get for free with a deposit to use because the rear calipers have to be screwed in not just compressed.
