Hello folks.

The aftermarket pump I got came with different plug, so I tried soldering the new lead one, but the solder will not melt into the wire.

I'm using rosin core solder.

I'm a little worried about sparks in the fuel tank; do you think a double layer of shrink wrap will do?

it’s the year 2022 why are you still soldering wires

anyways exposed terminals in a fuel tank are not a fire hazard
