Until the car reaches a speed of a few miles per hour, the dampers have almost NO movement. This really annoyed alot of customers when the cars were introduced.

The car will never ride like a COMFORT suspension. I had a 2001 S-Type with CATS and it would 'out-corner' my XJ sedan but it did ride a little harsh comparatively.

You might want to trade the car for a COMFORT suspension sedan if you don't like the firm ride as it is considered a SPORT SEDAN.

There is a fuse in the rear relay/fuse box, number 13 I think. If it is blown, the CATS suspension is fixed at full firm. Check that first.
