2001 s type seat wont adjust

2001 s type seat wont adjust
my passenger seat has stuck in forward lean - moving the side adjuster just gets a click on "fwd" and nothing on "back"
thought I'd just take the seat out first but for the life of me I cant see how you do it. simpler cars you just unbolt the seat from the rack but on s type there seems to be a bolt with a rounded top and bottom - nowhere to get a spanner on - any ideas please?
