2002 S Type 4.2 Driver's set stuck forward
Take that with a grain of salt. Just recently they were saying you needed four new electric motors.
In my over-inflated opinion, it's VERY rare for an electronic module to fail. It is possible if water got inside, but was the water ever that deep? The more common scenario is an external fault such as a blown fuse, bad switch, or broken wire.
Before rolling the dice on a module problem, I'd carefully check all power inputs (3 of them!), grounds, and switches. Pay close attention anywhere the wires flex, as that is a prime spot for breakage.
Hopefully somebody else can chime in about rebuilding that module. I'm not sure who offers this service, but once you find out, ask about a diagnostic check first. It might be worthwhile to spend X amount on verification before spending 3X on a rebuild. Most places will refund the diagnostic fee if you do need the rebuild.
Another option is to check eBay for a used module with the EXACT part number. Others have reported good results replacing certain modules as long as all the digits match. Once again, hopefully somebody can chime in. Not a lot of seat problems mentioned in the forum, so you may be something of a pioneer with this issue.

Darnell is still doing repairs. Called him today but he was busy and will call me back. Found 2 different ones on ebay for around $70 each. Will I have to have these programmed if I but them? The Jaguar dealer won't answer my questions unless I but the $400 module from them.

Ordered the driver's seat control module today from e-bay for $70 ($400 at the Jaguar dealer). This is the EXACT part number (2W9F-13c7898-DG) and came from the exact same year, model and side. There were other modules with slightly different part numbers so thank you for the advice to be careful.
I called the service department at a different dealership and he said the modules are plug and play and did not require programming. Will let everyone know if this works.
Appreciate the community here!

The seat module came in and works perfectly!
It failed inspection due to some dry-rotted tie rods, tires and wiper blades. The rotors also are so rusted that they need to be replaced. The car had been sitting for about a year under a tarp without being moved so thats why.

Excellent news. Thanks for posting the update.
Did you ever find any signs of water damage with the original module?
