2002 S Type R steering shudder
Hi first post so be gentle, I have a hankering after an R. I had a test drive of a 100000 mile 2002 model yesterday. It has lots of history up to 87000. The owner assures me it was serviced at a local garage at 95000.
MOT advisories were a rear bush and brake pipes. Not a lot of rust underneath, sills are v.good, no rot. All electrics worked and the boot was dry. It had a new gearbox in 2009 at 60k. It would need the valley pipe, thermostat and belts changed. Have I missed anything obvious?
The only small unknown is a shudder from the steering at 50mph the owner has had the wheels balanced I just wonder if anyone has experienced this. It's a 14 year old car so I wouldn't expect perfection especially at £3500
Cheers BB
