Need advice where to get good low mile used engine near saint Louis mo. Owned this dream car for ten years. Mechanic unsure why engine blew, I always changed oil on time and never ran hot. Only put 45k miles on it in last ten years. Got rebuilt engine price of $3500 but they sell the whole car for that. I am disabled and my small church of hardworking folks are trying to help me get it fixed and keep as my lifelong vehicle. But where and how would youfind a (low mileage) engine on tthis old of car? How much and where? Who would replace.with rebuilt for.reasonable . By that I mean cheaper than the price of the entire car. All else.works.and.looks great in this red Jag. The trans is good a/c blows cold. What should I do? Any advice or referrals? Want to make sure my small church friends help.is well.spent. I also heard you can swap.for.a Lincoln. What do you mean by blown? Chain tensioner go bad? Head gasket went? Rod went through the block? It may be cheaper to repair the current engine depending on what the actual problem is.

 

Maybe it's a 4.0 and had the old tensioners without replacing them
