This is a very old thread.

Provide some vehicle information such as MY, engine size and number of kilometres/miles along with conditions and symptoms.

The very first place to start is with the battery. What is the age and condition of the battery? A failing or weak battery can cause random DTCs to be set.

Default Thank you NBCat

Thanks for replying! I have a 2003 S-type 3.0 V6 189,000 miles. Had battery tested, 855 CCA. Just replaced all coils and plugs and upper and lower manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets. No more misfires but am now getting p0340 and p0341.

Main symptom is hesitation on startup...

With the ignition in the OFF position for at least ten minutes, the voltage across the battery terminals should be a minimum of 12.6 volts. If not, it should be replaced.

Does the engine spin slowly when you attempt to start the car?

You should also check wiring loom and all connections to make sure there are no open circuits. Make sure the connectors are fully seated at the sensors.

It sounds like the starter is having to turn a few times before it it starts up...
